Tacx Flow and Fenix 5 showing highly different results

I bike indoors on a Tacx Flow, and today I wanted to use the Fenix 5 that i generally use for running.

Tacx said i biked for 16km, Fenix said i biked for 10km.

Which one is correct? And why the difference, and can i get them to sync?

I would be grateful for any answer. Thank you.

  • Since your Tacx Flow Smart Trainer is providing you the distance of you ride through Bluetooth to the Tacx Training APP you are using on  your smartphone - what settings have been specifically changed within your Indoor Bike activity settings for your Fenix 5 to determine the distance without using GPS?

Despite us having acquired Tacx and their products, I do not see documentation to suggest compatibility between your Tacx trainer and your Fenix 5 watch. It can vary trainer to trainer and our outdoor watches. I do not have enough information on our end to say it will be impossible to get your trainer to pass the distance to your Fenix 5 but given your results, it is clearly not providing the total distance to your Fenix and your Fenix is gathering the distance data in another way based on your settings.

  • Hello Chris. Thank you for your reply. In this case I will continue to use the app of the Tacx in order to get a correct result.

    Thank you.
