Furthermore I think there are no more ciq updates for f5 in the future, since the HW doesn't support the new features of ciq 3.2 and later.

I think that you've made bad experiences, but these are exceptions. Because of the complexity, bugs are always possible in all SW products, native or ciq. And in the case you detect a bug or elevated battery drain in a ciq app, it's simply possible to deinstall the ciq app.
But ciq apps may enhance the usability of the devices by calculating new or special metrics for healths or physics, e.g. running power, TRIMP, etc.. Especially, for the individual health metrics there isn't such thing that "one formula fits all".
