Max heart rate and heart rate zones resetting randomly, again!

I posted the below 11 months ago. the problem seemed to go away but recently it has come back. Rather than writing it all out again I have just copied my previous post below. Exactly the same thing happened again today, for the third time in two weeks. This time my max heart rate is 190 apparently, which is better than 205 but still not right. What's going on Garmin?

I run regularly with a HRM strap. Never really run without it as the inbuilt OHR is very inaccurate for me ad just messes up my stats. Despite not having run without a  HRM strap for some time my max heart rate keeps resetting itself every now and again to completely unrealistic numbers and the heart rate zones follow. This only happens in the 'overall' heart rate and the running HR, not the cycling or swimming HR, see screen shots below. Obviously this messes up my stats as well so I have to keep resetting it. I have set it to 172 manually after having done several Max HR test, so I believe this is reasonably accurate. As a 54 year old I'm certainly never anywhere near 205 BPM nowadays. The lactate threshold is automatically set by the watch. It has been reasonably stable for a long time and fits well with my 172 bpm max but clearly not with the 205.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
