Fenix 5X - Calibration not offered by menue after treadmill run

Hello,

last month I received a Fenix 5X. Problem:
The manual tells me that after finishing a run of at least 1.5km on my treadmill the menue would offer an point called 'Safe and calibrate' to adjust the distance that I run according to the distance shown by the treadmill.
It did not show me this menue point at the first run, but at once showed any notifications about records, and achieved goals.

I contacted Garmin Service, they recommended to do a soft reset and retry.

I did a soft reset. After that I simulated a run over 1.6 km as described in the manual. The menue point for adjustment appeared, but only this first time. After a second real run on the treadmill it was not shown again.
As I understand the actual manual, the menue point should appear each and ever time after a finished run???

I am using a Garmin Tri heartrate chest strap during my runs even on the treadmill to get reliable data abour my heartrate.

Thanks for any hint, how to get it running.

Data of the watch:
Garmin Fenix 5X
Software: 21.00 (411945a)

  • Hi

I have a similar issue on 935 and it started 4 days ago. I was running 9.9 km on treadmill and barely 3 km on the watch. And beside that, when i tried to calibrate and then save, it only let me to add 4 km  nothing less, nothing more. This is not what calibration should do.. and i have the same sw version.
