F5 app hardening/cold bath

Hello community,

it might happen that I've overseen something, however, I can't find appropriate app for the hardening/cold bath.

I try copying JOGA (in fact, I only need: chrono, HR and temperature).

However, I don't see the temperature (at least minimum) in the CONNECT.

Are you aware of something hidden and useful to me?:-))

Hi,

Just set the watch to any activity that records HR and temp (avg, max,min), you can then change the activity type after syncing it.

I set it to “open water swim” so it records all the data I need and…

I have tempreature as a data fiel in my EDGE, but I don't have it in my Fenix5s (also on Fenix 3)...

I might be wrong, but I've also this data field on the JOGA app. However, I don't see the information is CONNECT (mobile). I see only chrono, calories and HR). Potentially, the number of JOGA positions (I don't really need.:-))

Why would you want temperature? Is not that it is actually very accurate. (somewhere between body temperature and outside temperature, so completely wrong in almost all cases, except one)

Just curious.

Hi Elbo, may I know what one you consider as the relevant?

I like to now the temperature of the cold water/body and correlation to the heart rate and overall feeling.

Otherwise, I understand that it's only a kind of orientation....

I don't know if there is a correlation and if there is if it is relevant for anything.

But if you just want more data, it's alright with me.

I know there are some third party bluetooth/ant+ thermometers. But then you have the same problem of getting the data in garmin connect.

The other posibility is that the data (temperature) is recorded and transferred to gamin connect in the fit file, but garmin connect doesn't display that data for the acitivty profile you created.

Maybe ask garmin support.

Just, note: I'm talking about the correlation of my personal data...

Sorry, I have also temperature in the Fenix (of course...) but since it is never accurate (due to my body temperature), I never bother about it.

Nevertheless, you do have temperature in the Garmin connect, on the PC!

I set it to “open water swim” so it records all the data I need and once it’s recorded I edit it and change the activity to “stopwatch”.

If you want to see the temperature in connect AND want it to be accurate you could get a TEMPE sensor and connect it to your watch. See the link below.

It even helps to overcome the issue of mixing more popular activities (such running).
