reconnection problem fenix 5 Plus

I use an iPhone as a phone and the watch is a Phoenix 5 plus
every time the connection between the phone and the watch is lost for various reasons: the phone shuts down, the watch closes, I go out of range, etc. it does not reconnect automatically, every time I have to search in the phone for Bluetooth devices the watch and connect it. Initially, I suspected that it is from the phone, but I found that it is not, because the phone automatically connects to other devices (portable speaker, at startup it connects automatically, when I get in my car  it connects automatically)
I tried all the options:

  • restart the phone,
  • restart the watch
  • I deleted the connection and I redid,
  • I reset the phone and the watch to the factory settings

Does anyone else have this problem, if so, I'm sorry :(
the question is whether someone has a solution in this regard
thank you

  • The visible reason of losing connection is pairing your watch through iphone bluetooth search. Garmin devices should connect to phone ONLY via Garmin Connect. Maybe you need to unbind watches from GC (and delete from BT devices from the iphone) and pair them again with the Garmin Connect app (Add new device).

  • it's connected via the garmin connect app, i don't even think it works to connect it without the garmin app. I also tried to delete from BT device and add it again from scratch again and it does the same

  • I have the same. Every morning I have to reconnect my watch (my forerunner 9e5) with my iPhone.  It’s very annoying.

complained about it to gamin support (in the Netherlands) but they are not willing or not able to look into it.

guess they are to busy adding gimmick functions to their latest watches in order to keep their feature list longer then that of the competition. Their marketing department demands that.
