Fenix 5S Issues After Update

I have had this watch for two years with 0 problems. Took it on a hike yesterday and was notified the newest update had been installed. Halfway through my hike, the watch began to freeze up. After using the backlight button to get it to unfreeze it was good for maybe 10 minutes before it froze for good, updating the screen and time information every 45mins or so before freezing again. Upon getting it home and back on the charger (It was fully charged when I started the hike), it finally unfroze and luckily it had recorded the majority of my hike somehow. It did register way more active calories than possible though, and the heart rate screen (Past 4hours) was showing a solid 148 bpm, and now it is not registering the past 4 hours rate at all. 

  Is there something in this update that could have caused this, as it was the only change between the watch working and now not working correctly? Is there a way to revert back to the old software?

  • I have it since Monday, recorded 3 activities and all is good. After each update I hold light button until watch switches off and 20 seconds more and start again and also go outside and get GPS (which takes longer than normally). After this, battery is OK and watch gets GPS quickly at the next activity.
