I have a Garmin Fenix 5X sapphire. Its been about 11 months since I got it. Today, it developed a spot about 5 mm in size in the 6 o'clock position. Its not a superficial scratch but a defect in the screen that is always there even if the power is off.
I talked with Garmin customer support, they said that they will replace it with a factory refurbished watch, which they promised will be like a new one. The warranty on the 'like new' device will only be 90 days. I am little anxious about it.
If you have experience with swapping the defective product with the 'like new' one from Garmin, how good were they compared to the original one? Did they develop any issue afterwards? I thought they will send a brand new one, since it is still under warranty.
