Backlight is always ON when the HR is ON

I updated my Fenix 5x to the latest software 20.00, and i start to notice that the screen doesn't go completely OFF, when I take out the watch and the HR tunrs Off so does the screen, I turned off the HR and the screen is off as well! I've checked all the backlight settings and they are fine! Anyone having the same issue or any solution?

I'm having same issue with brand new refurbished fenix 5s. Just got it today and it did it straight out of the box.

I have been having the same constant backlight issue as well for 6 months through the new updates. Is there a way to fix it? I have the Fenix 5s

Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution for this problem. Support assures me "they are working on it and will have an update to fix this issue soon". I asked for clarification on "soon" but wasn't able to get a time frame.

I am sorry you are having the issue. The issue remains escalated to our engineering team. Researching the tracking case, there is positive progress based on what I can see on the case.

omg called in August and were working on it, been 6months and my watch is still useless for heartrate as the light stays on and it goes dead fast...

I have only seen the issue you are describing resolved by exchanging your watch. I am sorry you have the issue.
