Under a drysuit

I'm curious if anyone dives with a F5 under a drysuit? I'm still interested in the heart rate data, but I much prefer to use my dedicated dive computer (rather than a descent) due to screen size and a few other features.

Naturally (sigh) the 100m water rating isn't 100m water rating (this is a long-standing farce), but inside a drysuit it would be shielded from the water side of the pressure influence, and it just be air pressure - if seals were breached it would be air only, and they're not likely to see spikes in pressure.

Just mulling over the risks vs knowing my heart rate.

Here is our water rating explanation chart - Water Rating Definitions. The Fenix 3 and newer Fenix series are rated 10 ATM.

That's not how pressure works though. If it can handle 100m static in water, it can handle 100m static in a drysuit. Hell, the dynamic pressure increase from swimming motions is a fraction of a percent of the static pressure at 30m, so it should be fine in the water too.

The depth rating system is a total nonsense, bordering on misleading sales tactics.

I think it's an issue of waterproof to n depth vs pressure proof to 10 bar. FWIW, I dive with my 5X and have taken it to 45m with no issues. I have had the storm alert go off (pressure change), but nothing else. It did not reliably measure heart rate during the sea water dives. Fresh water post dive rinse, all operations normal.
