I always use the ActiFace watch face and before I had an F5 which also had a terrible battery consumption, but also a corroding contact point. I removed it once and used a standard watch face, but no improvement. I received a new F5 under warranty end of last year and using the ActiFace all the time, consumption is now between 4 and 5%/day and no corroding pin anymore. So issues can also be watch related.
It has happened to me the other way around. My old garmin fenix 5 had no battery problems, but it did have corrosion. I requested to make use of the guarantee. They sent me a new watch with no corrosion, but with battery problems (no whatch faces installed). Very angry at Garmin.
