20.71 Change Log Notes:

  • Fixed an issue where the device would intermittently fail to save an activity.

Please send all bug reports to [email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 series you have in the subject line.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

  • I see only Fenix 6 mentioned there for CIQ 3.2, not 5 plus, which is a shame if they do not get it. If we with 5 do not get it, I understand that, but 5 plus is quite young device...

  • It looks like they updated the post on 8/27 to show all the recently updated devices and removed all coming soon devices.  Which dropped the F5plus series.

My guess based on when CIQ 3.1 was released, all 3.0 devices got updated but they may not support all the new features depending on the hardware in the device.  The older devices like the F5 and F5plus will be slower on. The roll out.

  • how is the battery working with this version?

My watch model is Garmin Fenix 5X .

When I connected my watch to the laptop for charging, all my watch information, including maps, was deleted.

This information includes all of the Garmin maps by default on installation time.

Are Topo maps reversible on the watch? If so, how is it supported?

  • Recorded a run using the "resume later" between each brake (once an hour for 50min over 24 hours).  Now the file is corrupt and will not load into Garmin Connect.  Using 3rd party tools, I'm still not able to determine what's wrong with the file as they will not open it either (I've had success with Golden Cheetah, but it will not export a complete FIT file with Stryd data).  The watch seems to have processed it correctly (shows as my last activity, steps, HR, distance, etc.), the the FIT file is worthless.  This was my 2nd run since updating from 20.00 to 20.71 (previous was a 3.8mi run).
