Is it possible to see Connect IQ data field data in the Activity History > Details screen (on the watch) for a custom exercise?

Hello there,

Here's my situation. I have a Fenix 5x and recently have started using the Jump rope.

> I created a custom Activity by copying the 'other' Activity on the watch.

> For this custom Activity I then added this datafield to one of the screens for the activity to show me the number of jumps for a session: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/539e6c9e-a735-45c6-b390-c0bc65c1d65a

> I then created a custom workout on Garmin Connect that I can use with the above custom activity.

I completed my workout and then checked the Last Sport > details on the watch.

I can see collected metrics data for Distance, Time, Avg Speed, Calories, Heart rate etc, but there is no mention of the data collected from the custom Connect IQ field. It seems that to view how many jumps i've made I have to use the Garmin Connect app on my phone or desktop...

My question is - is there any way to view this custom data on the watch itself or will this data only ever be visible using Garmin Connect?

If I understand you correctly, you would like to see the number of jumps from the custom datafield in the summary of the activity on the watch. I think this is not possible.

Precondition for seeing the number of jumps is, that the datafield write this to the .fit file. So try to contact the developer via the link on the datafield page in the store and ask him to code this feature.

As I've just seen on the datafield page it's possible to generate charts and summary of total number of jumps. Please look at the pics 2 and 3 at this page, e.g.

Thanks. I know that the number of jumps is recorded, but I can't see this when I'm viewing the activity detail after finishing the activity. See below:

I can only review the 'jump' data in Garmin connect. Any way of viewing it on the watch ie in the above left screen?

Sorry, I'd missed that you want to view the CIQ custom metrics in the details section directly on the watch. Unfortunately this isn't possible, as tmk2 already has stated.

You can only see the custom data in Garmin connect or GCM. The watch itself doesn't know how to display the data, as that isn't actually in the data field itself.
