Fenix 5x 20.00 - Altimeter broken

Hello!

After update to 20.00 my altimeter is completely broken.. Tried everything. My guess is that the update did something not so good.

Want to downgrade firmware.. but of course I cant get hold of older version. Anyone els experience the same problems?

Elevation is at least double the amount it should be. Sometimes triple. :/

Wash your fenix with water & soap, the problem could be based on static electricity.

As far as I am informed, firmware downgrade is not possible.

If nothing helps, try a reset to factory settings. This helped me recently to solve 2 problems: watch was not recognized any more and GPS did not work at all (no satellites found).

If it was a wide scale problem with 20.00 this thread would be full of complaints so more likely something more unique to your watch and maybe not even tied to the firmware. It might help if you provide more details on the symptoms (after calibration?, during an activity, what does the barometer and temperature behave? etc) and what "tried everything" involved (restart, reset, calibrate, run test mode?). Not trying to be flippant here, just suggesting this may help you get some more focused suggestions. As Tschens mentioned, a full reset may end up begin the next step but this does involve loosing all your settings.
