Gps open water swimming fenix5s

My Open water swimming gps on Fenix 5s has been aweful recently. Never had issues with it previous- it was not always accurate 100% but close now I swam 2km the other day and it recorded 600yards, it’s extremely frustrated as the watch is designed for triathlons and very expensive

Same thin gwith Fenix5 , FW20.00

Never had problems before FW20.0

Same here. fenix5, fw.20.0.

Also GPS accuracy during running activities is awfull.

GPS accuracy Fenix 5x: No problems with FW 20.00. Always perfect!

I have this issue too - except my watch adds as much as 2k to a 2k swim - most of the track is on land not even in the water (on whatever map system I use - is there a fix for the dire performance of the fenix 5 in open water swim mode (and do not say wear it in your hat - this is a laughable suggestion!!)

My Fenix 5 has been recording bursts of tracks which are not even in the water but on land half a mile away. I have the watch set to lap at 500 yards and the autolap times when the gps goes crazy are between 1-5 minutes when it usually takes me at least 10 minutes. Its very annoying and distracting to have the watch vibrate on the autolap when I know it is incorrect. The watch has version 20 installed. I almost do not want to use the watch on my open water swims.

I know this is for the Fenix 5 series... Fenix 3 isn't supported anymore I guess. But still:

I had the same with my Fenix 3 last Thursday... from the +/- 200 meters I swam, it recorded only +/-25 meters... Tried this a 2 times, same results. GPS had a fix the whole time! I have the latest firmware on the Fenix 3.
