I was about to order new battery thinking it was something to do with the battery getting weak. Hard to find exact replacement. But looks like its the latest software instead causing this issue. I have since reverted to Garmin watch face and updating the previous apps/watch faces which I seen had updates. Hope maybe updating them will help.
Wow what a sacrifice that sucks you did not have any improvement after that. Seems all my apps are updated now and I have recently gone back to 3rd party watch face so we will see. I was at around .3% usage until recently its been steady at .7% or .8% per hr.
I experienced the same issue 2 years ago. After the second or third beta release by Garmin, battery drain stoped. Same issue with third party watchface which are almost up to date. But if you think that after every Garmin update all apps should be updated that, perhaps, must be anonsed by Garmin also, so that we don't freak out and start looking for battery replacement. I would greatly appreciate if you suggest me any third party watchface that work properly with v20.0 and I would consider you are right.
I just bought a Fenix 5 and I expected to have a long lasting battery, however without any activity it drops 10% per day which shouldn't really be the case looking at the specs.
I use it with minimal settings, default watch face, backlight 20% 8 seconds, not connected to phone at all (only if doing an activity to upload it and then turn it off again), wrist hr on (but I read that this shouldn't have too much of an impact), no sounds and kind of that's it.
Checked system - settings - about and no exclamation mark next to any of the things listed there.
