Strava Live Segments - Incompatible file error and extended sync times when using.

For some time (at least 2-3 months) syncing from my Fenix 5 has taken up to an hour using Bluetooth via Garmin Connect Mobile. Typically activities sync and appear quickly on Garmin Connect (with the progress bar getting to around 50%) but the app and phone show sync activity for 20-60 minutes. I went through the usual app remove/re-install / BT Unpair/pair and watch reset.

It appears this is linked to using Strava live segments. Today I tried syncing via the Garmin express App and it showed an error after syncing (having taken around 20 mins) and listed every Strava Live segment as an 'incompatible file'. I removed the files from the sync list and sync took around 30 seconds with no errors.

Note: When syncing using the mobile apps no errors are shown

I changed segments to use Garmin segments and synced multiple times and every sync took <30 seconds. 

As soon as I changed segments back to use Strava the extended sync started to happen and the 'Incompatible files' error reappeared on each sync from the Express App. Changing segments back to Garmin segments removed errors and returned sync time to normal. Each time I change to Garmin segments - no issue. Strava segments - extended sync and errors (In express)

Is anyone else seeing this issue - I was unable to find any recent Forum messages regarding issues with Garmin Segments such as this and they have worked with no issues on my watch (although they are now removed from the watch due to the above change of segments and obviously won't re-sync).
