Start/stop button doesnt work.

Ive had my fenix 5 sapphire for 2 years and have now come across a problem. The start/stop button seem to not work. I have to lift and turn the button for the function to work. Anyone else had to this problem? Is this a common fault or do i have to send it away for repair

Maybe it's due to dirt or sweat that causes that the button hangs or is stiff.

Try carefully to clean the area around the button with a smooth toothbrush by rinse with water and a mild washing-up liquid. But before this switch off the watch to prevent unwarely starting an activity.

I clean the watch regularly but mainly concentrate on the strap but ill give your suggestion a go
