I have read a lot of posts about turn by turn navigation not working and lots of janky work arounds. They are all old so hoping for a recent 2020 answer.
I have a Fenix 5s (Sapphire/WiFi) using iOS GC on my iPhone to sync. TBT never seems to work (never even knew it was a thing until I saw it on a friend's watch)... more on this below. I only ever got the map with distance remaning.
My friend has the same but cheaper non wifi/sapphire Fenix 5S and uses Android on his phone to sync. TBT works on his!
We share the same route (in fact I created it for him and used the same file via GC and Send to Device via phone) and TBT works on his and doesn't on mine.
What gives? Is this a wifi/non-wifi Fenix 5S difference, or Android/iOS thing or something else?
