Training status and intensity minutes

Dear Garmin team, 

When I upload an imported activity to Garmin connect (recorded with another device) it does it correctly: I can view the activity summary, disntance, speed, power, heart rate, etc. Everything is imported correctly.

However, these imported activities do not affect the training status nor the intensity minutes count. Why is that? I use the training status to track my progression but if some of my activities aren't taken into account the training status according to my Fenix will always be less than it should be.

    @7967732 Hello. Training Status and Intensity Minutes, along with other training related features/metrics are calculated by the device itself. Because of this you'll want to make sure you're recording the actual activity on a compatible Garmin device that supports the feature. Unfortunately uploading activities recorded on other devices to your Connect account will not trigger these metrics to calculate.

    Hi Anthony, 

    I have tried contacting Garmin several times and had no success. I have a Garmin Fenix 5. It tracks my heart rate fine when I’m not doing any activity but as soon as I start an activity it just completely stops tracking it. It either tells me my heart rate is just constant for example on a two hour trail run it will show it staying at 70BPM. As soon as I save the activity it starts tracking my heart rate correctly again. Please can you tell me how to sort this. I am becoming extremely frustrated and no one seems to know the answer.
