Total distance including cycling distance visible on watch face?

Unfortunately this does not work.  The total distance including cycling can be found within Garmin Connect, but it does not appear to be an option for viewing on the watch face itself... only step based activities appear. This makes no sense from a feature perspective.  

Oops, obviously I don't have correctly understood your question.

You want to display on the standard watch face the sum of step distance and cycling distance without starting an activity.

I think this isn't possible.

Maybe you can find a ciq watch face in the store that displays what you looked for

Try to use the Multisport option as I've suggested above.

The problem for OP is rather that he want the distance on the *watch face*, i.e. in watch mode. But if you use a multisport activity, it should be possible to see the total distance of the swimrun, because the watch is in activity mode and displays and records sports specific metrics.

This should definitely be a feature. I'm annoyed that the stock Garmin watch faces can have a complication that displays total miles run for the week, but not biked. Seems it would be a simple addition.
