Greetings. I have been using Garmin products for a long time, but bought a Fenix 5X recently and have started running with it, along with a chest strap.
I have noticed my every run, even in a light jog I hit zone 5 and eventually max HR. I did manage to jog for 20 minutes in zone 5 but my VO2 max dropped by 2 points in
single run. Which lead to a training status of unproductive,
Is it normal? Has anyone experienced the same? As per garmins description training in zone 5 should build endurance and strngth. Then why do i get lower vo2max?
After several days of training in zone 5? I'm just curious.
PS:I did take good nutrition and gave a day or two off between the runs.
