Garmin Fenix 6 strength training

Hi

I was wondering how you guys do the best strength training with the Garmin. For example push ups. Because it doesn't count the reps right I just put a time in but can you like put the reps in you did yourself or is that not possible? if somebody has a better option? shoot!

  • Strength training with this watch is pretty much pointless IMO. This watch is for moving (endurance, distance) activity, not pushing dumbbells. That's what I've learned from using them in gym.

  • No idea about the 6, but on a Fenix 5 there's an opportunity to "Edit last set" that appears as soon as the "End set" button is pushed. It disappears after a short time but can be called up using the menu button as long as you haven't started another set. Using that you can adjust  reps and weight before starting another set.

    Personally I use the workout feature and work through a pre-set routine using that. with weight pre-set.  I find rep counting pretty good on most activities and those that are the odd rep off I change as described above.

    Once you've synced a workout you can edit it as much as you want using the connect app.
