VO2 max

Hi my vo2 max has dropped from 57 where it has been for years to 39. It was 44 yesterday and 49 the Day before.

I'm getting quite concerned Joy

Anyone got any ideas?

It's pretty much since 1910 software.

Standard remix 5 using just the wrist sensor.

Occasionally running mainly cycling.

Thanks

I want to ask something similar (have been off the forum for a while). I have been running very steadily for years but had a drop recently, partly covid, partly move to other continent induced. So I am starting again, albeit from a very low level. I have now been running again for 2 plus weeks, and am beginning to feel human again after my runs, even though I am still much slower than I used to be. Point is though, my fitness is definitely going up, not down. Yet Connect keeps telling me my fitness is going down, and basically has been giving me a vo2max worthy of a chain-smoker (37 when it used to be well into the mid 40s). I did a rule of thumb estimate manually today and ended up with 43. So what is this? Should I just ignore the Connect values? They cannot be right, at the very least regarding my fitness trend - I'm not at marathon level for sure, but I'm way beyond where I was two weeks ago.
