Syncing after you made changes

When I make a workout/sportmode, course, app for my Suunto and I put them on my watch and later on I make some changes (via my computer) those changes are also transmitted to my watch as soon as I sync my watch.

Now for my Garmin that's something else.  I made a workout on 19/02/2020 and put it on my watch.  On 27/02/2020 I made some changes on my computer.  After that date I synced my watch several times.  Yesterday I used that workout.  Imagine my surprise when I noticed aftwerwards the changes hadn't been transeferred to my watch.  Luckely it was only the kind of lap that I changed (rest><recovery).  Why?

When I make more then one thing (workout, course,...) and I click on send to device do I need to sync with Garmin express each time I've clicked on send to device?  Or can I wait until I clicked the last time on send to device?

PS  When I conncet my Suunto to my computer it's syncing automatically.  It would be nice if this would be possible with my Garmin to.

  • Ok the answer to my question appears to be no.  I had to do a complete reset of my watch.  And now I had to click for my workouts on "send to device" "send now" "open garmin express" syncing (closing garmin express) and this for every workout, which is 10 times in my case.  Same thing for the routes I created.  And I also had to set the datafields for my activities.  Why don't they just let you check a box "use with Fenix 5x" in my case and then sync everything?  That would be so much easier and faster.
