Quatix 5 not recognized by Garmin Express

Hi anyone having this issue?

Garmin Connect mobile works without issues, watch is found, synced, even receives updates.

But once Quatix 5 is connected with usb cable to PC, Garmin Express will not recognize it, it will not even be discovered.

Tried the original cable, so the original cable from my new Fenix 6x, so a 3rd party cable.

Watch is being charged, but basically that's it.

Factory reset will also not help.

Make sure the contacts on the watch are dry, clean and not corroded.

Do you even see the Quatix as a drive on your computer? The latest update to Garmin Express did cause some issues with setting up certain Garmin devices. Garmin Express 7.2 breaks Forerunner 305

unfortunatelly not, watch charges through the cable only, Windows cannot recognize it as usb device, connect cannot recognize it also.

In that case I'd lean toward what darnich mentioned. Clean contacts, change cables, change ports, even change computers. Eliminating all possibilities that this not a hardware issue with the watch.

thx, way past warranty, updates it gets, so not that big deal, I will not pay to get a refurbished, wanted my f5 as backup, as my f6x after 1year has the battery drain issue. So on garmin support with that one now :-)))

I don't get any map updates, so that is really sad. And I want to transfer the backcountry skiing acitivity profile from Fenix 6 to my Fenix 5X which I can't do anymore.

for me I have quatix, nothing is stored there, so not so painfull.
