Fenix 5 has begun losing connection with HRM Run

Over the last couple of runs I have started to witness significant drop outs between my HRM Run and Stryd footpod. I have been running with my HRM Run for a couple of years without issue and almost a year with my Stryd footpod, against without issue.

I have replaced the battery on My HRM Run with a known good battery and still see the same issue. 

Firmware Version is 15.10. 

Has anybody else witness the same problem with a sudden degradation in connectivity? This is a significant issue as I train to HR and these dropouts are seriously impacting on my ability to train.

  • I had the same behavior and later HRM went dead. Tried replacing buttery but it didn't help. I'll buy another HRM
    BTW. When paired to HRM I had sometimes issues with battery drain. Without HR - it stopped completely, never occurred again

    Before you buy a new HR strap I have managed to solve the issue. Try the following:

    1. Power down your watch and reboot.
    2. Give your HR strap a good wash
    3. Replace battery with known good battery 

    I did all three and I’m working fine again. I think it’s down to a software issue on the watch however so try powering down first. And let me know how you get on
