Fenix 5S backlight in not working

I so plenty of posts about that problem without answer, but unfortunately I have the same problem, I've tried factory reset, firmware downgrades, but nothing is working the backlight continues dead, please any solution for that?

Please Garmin help us

If your backlight stops functioning and restoring your watch to factory defaults does not resolve it, please contact your local region Garmin Product Support so we can address the issue. You can select your…

try live chat or phone call. I had an older model die and was offered a discount on an new model.

My wife has the same issue. It just stop working one day after she took a long run. We have tried everything from the factory reset and forced the update to 15.40 and still nothing seem to make it work again

If your backlight stops functioning and restoring your watch to factory defaults does not resolve it, please contact your local region Garmin Product Support so we can address the issue. You can select your country on the bottom left corner of an official Garmin site then select Support > Support Center on the top right to input your device and receive contact information.

Just had this problem. Factory reset solved it.

I’ve reached out to Garmin. They said the issue cannot be fixed. They then offered to upgrade the watch to a Fenix 6s (we would have to pay a few hundred dollars difference which we agreed to) but then they stopped replying. I’ve emailed from multiple accounts with the same case number, but they simply don’t reply. Really frustrating that they acknowledged there is an issue with their software upgrade and then don’t do anything to help.

Please call Australia Product Support since you have not heard back from email support. My sincere apologies have not heard back from us in a reasonable amount of time.
