fenix Chronos Software Update 18.1 breaking Bluetooth?

My Chronos updated automatically the other day to 18.1 and Bluetooth stopped working. I could not get my watch to pair with my phone. I did a hard reset back to 18.0 and bluetooth was restored. TODAY....my watch auto-updated again, and again Bluetooth has stopped working. Anyone else???

Have similar problem.

Version 18.00, and phone oxygenOS 10.0.3.

Reboot watch, and it connects for a few seconds, and then drops Bluetooth.

If I manage to start sync in these few seconds, it will not drop Bluetooth,stay and connected.

After a few hours it will totally disconnect again.

Also, I see from the graph, that the heart rate monitor is *** down for long periods.

Have issues Samsung Galaxy S10 Android 9 with watches version 18.00 (recently updated to 18.10 the same behavior).

After factory reset device work flawlessly, but after some time bluetooth connection to phone is no longer active.

Switching devices (both watch and phone doesn't help). Re-pairing device doesn;t help for me, device not visible when pairing without factory reset.

Once factory reset - device is functional again.

Bluetooth fails on device several time a week for me. The factory reset resolution is painful, I have several sensor to add again, several apps to install and re-configure. Is is possible to downgrade?

AGREED! In the near-term, I have turned OFF Auto-Updates in the Settings on the Chronos. The device has operated as intended for the last day...we will see if that stays true.

If you would like to revert to the last public release software, drop the gupdate.gcd file in the \GARMIN directory.
NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

Hello Enrique,

I'm not so happy, get the automatic update what disable my Bluetooth.
Reading conversation above I installed GUPDATE.GCD

Doing so I presume that existing data will be kept.
That's not the case, the watch reset back to default.

And also Bluetooth is not working!

I hope you/Garmin give me a fix today,

By Garmin Express I was able to place back Firmware 16.30
Altough Bluetooth is still not working, I can't use my watch anymore.
