Spots on fēnix 5 sapphire glass

Hi,

I noticed some small spots on the sapphire display of my Fenix 5x. It is not possible to wipe them off.

Do you may know what that could be?

Pictures of my Fenix 5x Sapphire with small dots (the big bright one is a reflection of a lamp). It is not that easy to catch the dots on a photo.

I tried to wipe them off with a eyeglass cleaning cloth - no success.

I used Fenix 3 and Fenix 3 WHR before the Fenix 5x, but I had never such issues on those older models.

I work in a machine shop, I get all sorts of coolants and oil splatter on my sapphire glass. They look identical to your "spots". It looks as though it's on your bezel too, so to me suggests it's a contamination from something rather than a defect. 3 tips I can give for removing said spots.... Degrees the face with soft cloth dipped in hot hot water, 2, use tissue paper and cleaning alcohol, 3 then the glass cleaner. Keep going till it shines again. I don't totally recommend this, unless you are super careful, but boil the kettle, pouring the water into a cup, and use the steam vapour to mist up the glass and rub with soft cloth ( keep at it) don't drop the watch into the hot water.

These drove me nuts if the same thing. I tried everything up to sandpaper. The solution was found on Google somewhere and it worked a miracle.

Table salt. Disolve in a spoon then take a soft cloth and soak it in it and rub off the spots. Mine disappeared like that!
