I noticed recently my calories (active and total) are higher than normal. My workout routine hasn't changed and neither has my daily non-workout activity. My total calorie count on a normal workout day went from 2,700 calories (~730 active) to 3,000 calories (~993 active). Same workouts, same distance, same average heart rate, same pace, etc. I've checked my heart rate during non-workout time, and it doesn't seem to have changed either. The only thing that changed is that I had a birthday and am now 49 years old. Is there some sort of impact to calorie count from age? And why would an odd year like 49 make a difference.
I have a Fenix 5. I just had to upgrade to the beta version of software to fix a calibration issue for the treadmill, so I am on software version 14.77, but I was having the issue before moving to the beta and was on version 14.2.
