Try Garmin express sync on the PC.
it shoud help. If it does not help then next step would be to delete EPO.BIN file from the watch and it gets restored itself as a current when you sync, I think I had to do this once as well.
dont have a PC or MAC. should work over garmin connect
You're right, should...
Maybe you can also try to delete it (cut and paste aside so that you keep copy just in case...). it should get replaced by updated one, after sync, some outdoor GPS activities and sync.
If i had a pc i would try.
will try to start a activity and se if it updates then
Android has the option to act as USB host, so if you have such a phone/tablet and USB host connector, you can browse the files with appropriate app. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_On-The-Go
To do outdoor GPS activity and then sync again and again will hopefully help.
Only ios
tried with acktivity. Did not help
was it a GPS activity? Like hike or run? How long did it take to watch to get satellites?
Synced time and altitude with gps. It is weird. Gps eas found in couple of seconds but epo still expired.
called garmin support in sweden the guy did not even know what EPO was haha. Had to explain to him. Nice support
After two days of syncing now epo is ok
I have a Fenix 3HR with the same problem. Bluetooth sync with iPhone app does not update the IPO file.
I don't have a computer to install Express.
Only way I got it to work was to connect my watch to my house's Wifi. After 30 seconds it said "transferring" and when I checked in Settings > System > About the EPO file was current.
Sorry to post here but Garmin deleted the Fenix 3 and 3HR forums!
