Jonathan chillout ... the watch gives "Fastest" times for multiple lengths which are like some sort of standard, i use metric system also, so when i'm running fast let's say a 5K and in the process i run…

The effected units need to be recalled, in my opinion because it's only certain units, it's got to be a hardware issue.

No Notifications

No WIFI

Steady 0.298%/h = 7.15%/ day with no GPS activity

Average 5%/h with GPS (= 20 hours runtime???? never tested)

Average weekly use of 2 x 2 hours + 1 x 6 hours GPS activities, every week ever since.

Battery use is 30% per day. No backlight, no activities, default watch face.

Yup that's excessive, something not right there, mine is 3 to 5% per day with no gps. Have you tried reset?

My unit is doing 0.1 to 0.2% hourly with everything off with Gearmin watch face, this beta firmware and everything updated. This draining issue seems hard to be fixed because not everyone is showing the same results I believe. My watch is 1 year old btw.

I think the issue is with the watchface GearMIN. I rolled back to OEM 14.20 and did a factory reset. Drain was back to normal and showing 30 days reserve. I tried to reinstall GearMin as it has been my favorite for a year or so. When I configured it the way I had it before, I got the IQ! error. Battery drain went up by a factor of 10 to a reserve of about 35 HOURS. Does anyone have a suggestion for a watch face that shows barometric trend graph? I need that feature and GearMin used to be my go to WF. I will miss it. I did send a review complaining about the sudden drain, so maybe it will be updated. I also have a 6X pro solar on order and sure hope GearMin will be fixed by then! Thanks everyone!

This is an update on my battery drain experience with this beta. After just over 72 hours, my battery is now at 74.4%. That's about average hourly loss of .35% per hour or 8.4% per day. That's a Fenix 5 Sapphire with WHR, Notifications, no GPS usage using a watch face with a second hand. Just a little below the 7% I recall experiencing before the higher battery drain suddenly began.
