Just got the 5X and I have switched auto heart rate off as I don't need heart rate measurement all the time, plus it eats battery I guess, but I really thought that when I start an activity (run, walk) etc. that the watch will then automatically start measuring heart rate for the activity, but it doesn't, which is weird imho. I only want heart rate tracking during an activity but now I have to remember to enable it in the widget first, before I start an activity?? on my Huawei watch GT and my Gear Fit 2 Pro even if you have full time heart rate disabled, it will start measuring heart rate automatically when you start an activity. Very weird that the 5X doesn't?? or am I missing something, thanks.
