Fenix 5 getting hot when charging, keep on/off charging

The watch battery is pretty low power, and can be too low for some USB power sources, which can lead them to shut off.

Try a different USB power source.

I have tried different power source, USB from MBPro, USB 5V/2A charger, USB 5V/1A charger. Not working though. 

One thing for sure, my Garmin charging cable is alright.

I will try to use alcohol swab to clean again the terminal. Also will do a soft or hard reset on F5.

Any other suggestion is welcome.

Have a closer look at Garmin USB charging cable, it appears one of the terminals (most right side) slightly corroded as photo below and the 4th terminal is stuck and shorter than the others, hard to bring it up.  I have cleaned the terminals with alcohol swabs.  Any solution? 

Fenix 5's contacts look clean and fine as photo below. 

I hope it's not the watch or battery issue.  Not sure if I need to replace the charging cable?  Kindly advise.

The contacts both on cable as well as the watch look quite good in my opinion. Fact the right one is shorter shouod also not matter because you push it,  It should not be a reason. Try to use different cable or go to local Garmin seller and ask if they have charger and try to charge over there what the result would be.

Thanks Doktorko. Indeed, I will make a trip to Garmin authorized dealer to check what's wrong with my charging cable or F5.  Hopefully it's just the cable issue... I will attend a marathon event coming in 1st Dec, hope can resolve within this weekend.
