Does your Garmin charging cable jiggle?

I have the Garmin 5+ and my cable has always had a good connection. I was charging it the other day and the cable and watch was on the floor (don’t ask why) and I accidentally stepped on it but not hard but hard enough that the cable unhooked from the watch. Ugh!!! I was barefoot so soon as I felt it I took my step off but it still disconnected with the watch laying on its side so it was at an angle. Hope that makes sense.
I connected it and it works but I noticed that while it’s charging I can jiggle the cable ever so slightly. It never looses connection though even when I jiggle. It doesn’t look bent or any other deformities.

I’m wondering if this was always the case and I never noticed it, or if this slight jiggling is because I stepped on it.

So, does your cable jiggle when it’s connected to your watch?

  • Yes. Connection isn't 100% reliable (I have a Fenix 5x with silver pins) but it's never been bad enough to ask for a replacement.

Mine (the original one from Garmin) after a coupla years did feel a bit loose and plus the pins would sometimes jam in and not charge the watch so I bought a new one via Amazon (some random brand) and it feels a lot more secure when I click it in. So far, (a few weeks) it has been fine.

Must admit I haven't tried jumping on it with bare feet though...
