Fenix 5 stuck during activity

Hello

my Fenix 5 got stuck during a MTB activity. It is not the first time this happens.

The watch is frozen on the timer/distance/ascent/elevation screen, each time.

i can only reset it, and the data are lost. I can retrieve the data up to the freeze, and then resume the activity, with a gap....

My watch seems up to date, with level 14.20.0.0.

it’s really annoying, as it always happens when i’m on a special ride.

Hi.

I've had the same problem a couple of times. My fenix 5 is up to date.
It has happened to me following a mtb route. I have noticed that it has a tendency to happen when you follow the route and press the button up to change the screen. At that point the clock starts to slow down and stops responding. The last times I used it I followed the route and blocked the buttons to avoid changing the screen. At the moment, in this situation, it hasn't happened again.

Is there a solution?

I have had this problem for years now with Fenix 5. The watch keeps freezing during activities (MTB). Garmin does not care.

happened to today. Had navigation from my last bike activity and suddenly screen stopped updating...

Firmware 20, seen plenty of peaople even 2-3 year ago complaining about this.

Last garmin watches for me. Garmin seems not care

Just happened to me yesterday, in total 4-5 times over the last 12 months. It happens only with MTB - hiking, jogging or indoor no problem..only with MTB. The symptoms are always the same: first the watch becomes very sluggish to operate (eg screen change etc)..then suddenly after 20' or so it freezes up. I cn only do a Hard reset (Up-Down-Start button sequence!). It is really a nasty problem which I want to have fixed!

Used to happen to me only during MTB, my main activities, but i’ve got very same issue while hiking last week. So not linked to this.

Cannot argue regarding indoor activities, so few in my case. We will continue with our issue.

But, not sure this interests someone in garmin.....

Got this problem for the first time on a hiking activity after almost two years of owning the watch. Not happened before on any other activity.

Curious if it's gonna happen again and how often... still no fix on this?

i've the same issue every other activity. i' ll buy another watch, not a garmin, a Suntoo, or a Coros
