Fenix 5x plus does not adjust treadmill calibration

Hello,

I’m using the treadmill a lot lately for running. It seems like every time I’m not in the “treadmill” activity the workout is off. If I access my workout through the training plan I’m usually 1/3 to 1/2 off and it screws up all my data. I’m able to adjust it later on on the app, but my laps are all screwed.

if I go through the treadmill app it gives me the option to sync it later and make calibrations. Any ideas how to get that thing to be accurate? Does it matter if I use incline on the treadmill etc? It’s kinda frustrating to be honest.

  • I have the same issue with my 5 and share your frustration. I have seen other post (search the forum) about the same, and one claimed to have fixed it after 3 resets. I can calibrate after a run to fix that particular run in Garmin connect, but wrong data is still being exported to Strava. In my case the calibration seems to be getting worse with every run, last run was 50% off (only showing half distance/speed).

Garmin have been silent on all post I have seen on this, so they probably don't have a clue how to fix it. I have ordered a foot pod now, several uses claims this works a lot better on a tread mill.

  • guess you have already installed the new beta,

    • Fixed an issue with treadmill calibration.
    • Fixed an intermittent issue where the device would error out when trying to sync a music playlist using Wi-Fi. (WIFI 0200 Error Fix)
    • Brought in improvements for CIQ media apps.
    • Made several other code improvements and bug fixes.
