Fenix 5 Series - 14.72 Beta Release

In the Installation Instruction for this Beta 14.72, you say, "If you would like to revert to the last public release software, drop the gupdate.gcd file, found in the System_Backdate_v1250 folder, into the \GARMIN folder of the device." 

I assume this is an error and you meant to say, "The System_Backdate_v1420", not v1250. If I am correct, please update the instructions.

why is the new GPS 2.51 not included?

and how can it be that my fenix5 already has sensorhub 6.90 installed, while this beta includes sensorhub 6.71?

can I find any changelogs about the different GPS and sensor versions?

Having installed the 14.72 Beta, I can confirm, based on my Settings->About that it includes sensorhub 6.90, at least that's what I have.

I can't answer for Garmin here but I would say that 2.51 is itself part of a separate Beta so it actually makes sense to me to reduce the moving parts to do a test.

On the current battery consumption, I have installed the Beta 3 hours ago. Began at 71% moved up to 74% after 22 minutes, based on my watch face (yes it did) and I am still at 74%

I agree that makes sense. reducing the number of variables makes it easier to draw conclusions on the effect of changed variables.

That's curious... where would this "free" power come from ;-)  Is it still rising? Or did the estimation algorithm just needed a few hours to find a new equillibrium? 

I also have sensor hub 6.90 and GPS 2.51 after installation of this beta (I also had before, so it just did not change). As for battery it is difficult to say anything it is too early so far good - from 100 to 98 within like 6 hours. I did not have problem with battery on 14.20 recent days, it was good for me.

I suspected that there may have been some change in how the updated software interpreted the state of the battery but once that settled the drain seems to be as with 14.20. My battery has drained from 74% to 60%, a drop of 14% in the 24 hours since it hit 74%, 22 minutes after installing the update.
