It’s not like they are like Apple who backports every feature as long as the hardware permits it. Or Coros who backports every feature as long as the hardware permits it. Or Polar who backports features as long as the hardware permits it.
It’s not like Garmin devices are cheaper than those other brands that justifies their lack of love for older models. Imho.
Sure, Apple, Coros and Polar or Suunto have other downsides but that doesn’t mean Garmin is perfect. It could be so much better. (Though I do realise some people are such a fan of a brand they don’t like to talk about that. Sure you’re not one of them)
I'm sort of new to Garmin & was looking for this feature on the Fenix 5x and never thought that it is not on the watch. Fitbit does backports features as well and it hasn't effected their sales of new devices. Simple things like this builds brand loyalty. I'm forgetting to add water in the ph because when I take water phone os not close by.
