Race an activity

Twice I have had issues with race an activity. In both cases I have raced against a previous instance of the exact same running route of about 5 km. Last week I was shown as way ahead for the entire run, when I ended up being 15 s behind. Today, I was shown as gradually falling behind (which was true) while just before ending the run it was showing 2 min ahead. Answer was 2 min behind.

Anyone else seeing this or have any clues? 14.20/GPS 2.50

I'm having the same problem. Not constantly, but very regularly. Racing a previous run activity of about 4 km. Time ahead will add up to about 2 minutes, but on finish I could well even be behind. The Est Finish Time is more or less correctly calculated, so gives a more accurate time.

I have not seen it in racing a previous bike activity so far.

Still trying to figure out why/when it happens.

I have seen this problem from about feb/march onwards. So it is not specific 14.20.

I have exactly the same problem with Instinct Solar bought Sept.2020. Race against previous run on identical course shows me always ahead but when I finish I'm way behind.
