Fenix 5 change golf units to yards

Thank you for the answer.  That is really too bad.  Reporting distances in golf in meters is not very useful at all.

Can you tell me how to change it for all as in the system settings for distance, the only options are miles and kilometres.

Um....what units are you looking for and for what activities?  Kilometers should probably be called metric and miles should probably be called imperial.  I use kilometers and when I go for a run or swim, the distance is broken down into meters.  I don't use miles, so I do not know the sub unit for miles or if they just say you've gone 1.2 miles.

just choose miles and the golf app will show distances in yards.

and don't forget to return do kilometers (like I do all the time :-) ) for the other activities.

Good idea.  I hadn't even thought of that.  I'll try that next time.

Could Garmin consider allowing metric for all activities but still default to yards for golf at the same time. This would cater for some countries, like Kenya where I life where the system is metric but the golf courses have always stuck with yards. It's inconvenient to have to change the settings before and after a round of golf. Thanks!

I haven't uploaded the new beta 14.72 but the  change log notes says they have made several Golf improvements .

We shall see.

I'm not sure when it was added since I don't play golf but I have 14.72 and it does have a separate setting for golf distance in yards. This is in settings in the mobile app on android.
