Very slow sync (60+ minutes) to Garmin Connect Mobile on iOS

The syncing of my Fenix 5s to Garmin Connect Mobile is very slow, it takes over 60 minutes to complete. Any new activities are synced in about 20-30seconds, but after that the syncing just keeps on going. This is particularly annoying when transferring a course to the watch, as that apparently happens all the way at the 'end' of the sync (and can thus take over an hour).

Does anyone experience similar issues? Is there a way to speed this up/resolve this?

fenix 5s 14.10 with Sensor Hub 6.90
iPhone XS, iOS 12.4
Garmin Connect Mobile 4.22.1.1

i have the same. today i did a full reset ofy fenix 5 and had to update to the latest firmware. since then i have the same.

i am really annoyed!

EDIT: sorry, was only the initial sync after the reset…

Yes. It has been like this for me for a very long time now. On many firmware versions right until 12. Then after one particular update it went fine but then after another become like this again. It takes an hour to fully sync but then the watch also freezes for 10 to 20 minutes and usually cannot establish a bluetooth connection with the phone afterwards so needs to be turned off and then back on.

EDIT: sorry, was only the initial sync after the reset. now it's fast again.

This appears to be fixed for me now! Syncs within a few seconds! FW 14.20.
