Transfer data between 5x watches

I have a 5x that I'll be selling. I have a new 5x that I'll be using.
Do I just plug it in and sync to Connect? Will it sync everything I have, or overwrite Connect with nothing?
Looking for the correct procedure.

When I upgraded from 735XT to Fenix 5, I just added my Fenix 5 to my Carmin Connect account and did a sync. All activities and steps were Transfer red over. I am currently having 14 workouts on my Fenix 5 that was Transfer red over.

Enable Physio True Up on both devices - that should transfer over most metrics (Training Load, etc).

However, you will still have to set up data screens, etc, manually.

Out of curiousity, why would you sell one device to buy an identical new one?
