Problem with navigation algoritm

Hello,

I had a stange thing with a gpx last week.
I created a course on garmin connect web site and then download it to fenix 5s. My course looks like a 8, with a crossroad .

I run with the navigation map and when I arrived at the crossraod, the gps showed me the wrong direction : it gaves me the shortest direction to the end of the course, instead of the one at the opposite.

I tried again on another course wich looks like a double 8 (2 crossroads) and i had the same problem each times.

Has anyone ever encountered this kind of problem?

Is it a known bug or is there a way to avoid that.

Maybe it picked up that part of the course and jumped over there, such as how sometimes at the beginning of an out and back it will pick up the back while on the way out. Did you keep running and did it then pick up the proper route?

It never get back to the proper way. In fact I realized the mistake when when I was close to the finish line. ... but my travel was 10km long instead of 40 (it was a bike travel)

So I stopped, the race. Try a new one with the navigation in the reverse way .... and again at the crossroad, the navigation indicated me the shortest way to the end ... and never the middle of my course....

Very booring when you don't really know where you are and where you don't have map background on the watch.
