hello, because i use the generic open water profile when i do finswimming in open water (sea), and i ask if is there a specific profile/app for open water finswimming ?

There is no hope to have this function. My personal tip (used also with running, trail and walking) is to duplicate the profile and configure data screen(s) and parameters adapted from the original one ! And rename it !

Exemple in running, trail and walking, I've regular profiles and duplicate with ultratrac GPS activated.

In fine swimming, you can configure alarms and screens for this activity (because speed is 2X) and keep open water swimming regular profile for...open water regular activity ! This is diy solution.

Alternatively, IQ specific app ?!

The elliptical profile are lacking cadence (and distance, it can be calculated because the stride length is known in machine). This is ... unfunny

So don't wait for specific fine swimming profile !
