Maps for Scotland

I have just been bought a Fenix 5 for my Birthday , I do a lot of hiking in Scotland what would the best Map package be to be used as a back up please

The Fenix 5 does not support maps.

Assuming you have a 5x have a look at talkytoaster.. includes all the contours..

If you have a normal 5 use dwmaps to upload courses you've created elsewhere.. ie ordanance survey or dwmaps course builder…

classic solution would be garmin.opentopomap.org/

there are all the countries, often updated

Congratulations for your present! :-) I also did some hiking in Scotland, and I really liked the OSM maps from freizeitkarte-osm.de (I use them for my GPS Map 64st, as my Fenix 3 does not take any maps). You‘ll find a map for the whole UK including Scotland here: https://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/garmin/de/regionen.html

Of the fenix 5 series only the fenix 5X supports maps.

Install Garmin Explore app on your phone for free maps. They are quite good.
