distance to next waypoint when off course

My understanding is that the distance to next waypoint field is not updated when off-course. Would it be possible to display the straight-line distance from our current, or last known, location instead? Maybe adding some kind of symbol to warn users that the distance could be misleading.

not only that but if you stay too much (undetermined) time off course it will not resume by it self when you be back.

If that happens, after you are back to course you have to stop navigating and start it again.

People say it does's happen but I have been able to reproduce this several times (still on 13.30 due to the alleged high battery consume of 14.10 so I'm not able to confirm on this fw version.
