Fenix 5 with 13.40 update high battery drain

I recently bought a Fenix 5 having come from a Vivoactive 3 because of poor battery performance after firmware updates/downgrades. How's 4 days between charges down to 18 hours for degraded performance?

Anyway Fenix 5 came with 13.3 and I was getting 10 days between charges with my normal use, that's around 10% per day on average. I found 13.4 had a fair hit on battery taking around 15% per day.

I have installed the latest Beta with the intention of downgrading back to 13.3 but have found that the Beta has got me back to around the same battery use as 13.3, if anything it is a little better.

I do not experience problem with battery drain. 

The same problem here since 13.40 20% in 24 hours normal use... Fenix 5 wifi... That's the double than before.

I have installed the latest Beta (13.51) too and it has consumed 0.21 %/hr again. I recommend it.

have the clock 8 days

drains over night 10% - 20% and per hour 1% - 1,6%

now with 13.51 beta 0,2% - 0,4% per hour

I also have the same issue. About 10% battery drain per 24h before the update and about 20% after. 

Does anyone have experience with Garmin commenting posts in this forum with explanations, suggesting workarounds or even setting realistic expectations?

Same problem here with Fenix 5 on 13.40, so just installed the beta to test. My missus has the 5S with 13.40 but not experiencing same problem. Will report back.

After the update to beta 13.51 there has been a general improvement in battery performance. Approximately 0.1% - 0.2% per hour, only in clock mode.

Reverted to 13.30 firmware. Battery usage is back to about 0.15 / 0.20 per hour.
Before reverting, with firmware 13.40 battery usage was between 0.7 and 0.8 per hour.
(reports by My Battery widget).
There is definitely something wrong with the latest update...
