Street names in navigation

I biked a course I'd set up this morning. I received turn by turn arrow directions, but no street names. I have two hunches on what might be the problem. Can anyone confirm?

- Possibility 1: I created in Gaia maps app, then imported to Garmin Connect. Is the Gaia Maps App the problem?

- Possibility 2: I mistakenly imported it as a mountain bike ride, not a road bike ride. Is that the problem?

If you preloaded a course on watch, it'll simply follow the course even if you're not on a road on the map. Street names etc. are probably for routes created on the watch.

Update, the key seems to be the "Follow Course" vs "Use Map". Setting. According to Garmin, choosing the "Use Map" setting will have the watch reroute if you make a wrong term. It also seems to offer street names in the directions too. I verified this using a Garmin Connect created Road Bike route.

You get to this setting by starting a Bike ride then choosing Bike Settings -> Routing -> Courses -> (Follow Course vs Use Map)
